FAISALABAD: Special price control magistrates have imposed a total fine of Rs 290,400 on
301 shopkeeper for overcharging and profiteering. The district government spokesman said here Tuesday that the magistrates raided 437 markets, bazaars and shopping areas to check prices of daily use items and their quality. They found 301 shopkeepers involved in overcharging and imposed a total fine of Rs 290,400 on them besides registering cases against 18 shopkeepers for violations of Price Control Act, he added.
