LAHORE: The Customs Appellant Tribunal Lahore has received 40 appeals of betel leaf importers against the decision of the Customs Adjudication collector.
As per detail, Pakistan Customs authorities have announced penalties for importers of betel leaf if found involved in tax evasion, as many betel leaf importers were allegedly found in tax evasion.
Betel leaf importers have lodged appeals against the penalties in the tribunal. Sources said that the appeals of the applicants would be heard next week.
