KARACHI: During a drive against drug peddlers, initiated on the directives of Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla, a team of E&T Department has seized 40 kilogram of chars and arrested an accused.
According to a statement, the team led by ETI Qamar uddin Siyal checking a delivery van bearing registration No RLS 1221 at Ubauro Check Post found 40 kilograms charas in the vehicle. They confiscated chars and arrested an accused namely Saeed Alam. A case has also been registered against him, it adds.
Meanwhile, the minister has directed officers concerned to tighten the checking at posts on Sindh border in order to stop drug peddlers from entering Sindh.
