$45.6b economic corridor: Pak-China friendship to enter into new phase in 2015, CM Shahbaz

LAHORE: The solid friendship between Pakistan and China has turned into close bilateral cooperation which will reach a new phase in the current year especially due to $45.6b economic corridor, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said.

Talking to the first Consul General of China in Lahore, Yu Boren, the chief minister, said Pak-China economic corridor is a vital project which speaks volumes of the growing economic cooperation. He said that China is a very reliable friend of Pakistan and Pak-China friendship has stood the test of time. He said that China has helped Pakistan in every hour of need and extended invaluable cooperation in the progress and development of the country.

He said that Pak-China Economic Corridor is an important step in the growing trade and economic relations between the two countries and will usher in a new era of progress and prosperity in Pakistan. He said that 2015 is being observed as the year of beginning of Pak-China economic cooperation as a result of which Pak-China friendship will enter into a new phase.

China considers Pakistan as its brother and Chinese leadership highly values the present leadership of the country, Chinese Consul General Yu Boren said.
