4G-LTE Moto G, Moto E ready to knock out Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia

TOKYO: In 2014, alongside the high-end Moto X handset, Google also released some entry-level devices in the form of the Moto G and the Moto E. A report from last week revealed that a Motorola handset without LTE connectivity had shown up at the FCC which has led some to speculate that it could be the Moto E’s successor.

Now thanks to new leaks, it seems that the Moto E’s successor has been confirmed, and it looks like we could be expecting the Moto G’s successor in the near future as well. The leaked information has revealed two possible new Motorola devices called the Moto G Titan and the Moto E Styx.

Based on the information, the Moto G Titan is basically the LTE model of the 2014 Moto G. This seems to follow what Motorola has done last year, which was to release an LTE version of their 2013 Moto G, so presumably they are doing the same thing with the 2014 Moto G. If you wanted a phone with LTE and an affordable price tag, we guess the Moto G Titan could be it.

As for the Moto E Styx, interestingly enough the leaked information revealed that it will support LTE connectivity as well which certainly doesn’t seem to lineup with the information at the FCC. It is also rumored to pack a quad-core chipset under the hood, and both handsets are also expected to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will learn more about these new handsets soon, possibly at MWC 2015.
