50 trucks of vegetables arriving through LFU Wagha

LAHORE: Pakistan importing a huge quantity of vegetables and tomatoes for local market, especially for Lahore from India.

Sources told Customs Today that Pakistan is importing tomatoes, green fresh pepper and cucumber from India these days. Import through trade route has reached an average 50 trucks in which more than 30 trucks are loaded with tomatoes. Indian tomatoes has big share in Pakistani market, specifically in Lahore.

Local vegetable markets of Lahore are stable these days and the rate of tomato is also stable at Rs 60 to Rs 80 per kilogramme since import from India has increased.
