5,000 jobless applicants registered on Sindh govt website

KARACHI: About 5,000 applicants have registered themselves on a website launched by the Sindh government to collect the centralised data of all the applicants who intend to apply for the jobs in provincial departments.

This was said by Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Information Science and Technology Dr Sikandar Ali Shoro, while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of website (www.sindhrozgar.gos.pk) and the registration process, said a statement on Friday. He said that the website is launched to maintain merit and transparency in recruitment process.

He said that the registered applicants would be able to get the detailed information about the government job advertisements as per their educational qualification and experiences instantly. Dr. Sikandar Shoro showed his dismay on the departments that published jobs advertisements without mentioning the website address and asked them to enrol all the applications on the website. He also said that Information Science & Technology Department has already provided all possible assistance to all departments in this regard.

Dr Sikandar Shoro also directed the Secretary IS&T to take action against those officers who did not come to attend the meeting through administrative Secretaries of their departments. On the occasion Secretary IS&T, Pervaiz Sehar, Senior officers, focal persons of different government departments were also present.
