ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Spring Tree Plantation Campaign 2015 is successfully continuing in every part of the federal capital.
Different educational institutes, governmental and non-governmental organisations, civil society and trade associations are making arrangements in connection with tree plantation drive with the cooperation of CDA.
On the directions of CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal, the Environment Wing of the authority carried out tree plantation jointly along with members of Islamabad Leo Club, JAD Foundation and the residents of Sector G-10. On this occasion, Member Environment CDA Syed Mustafain Kazmi along with citizens planted saplings in G-10.
Addressing on the occasion, Syed Mustafain Kazmi said that tree plantation is national obligation. He said that during the tree plantation drive, different species of flowering and fruit plants are being planted. The CDA was assigned a target to plant 300,000 plants but CDA in collaboration with different organisations are planting 500,000 saplings which would not only increase the green cover but it would further beautify the city.
