$500,000 smuggling case: FBR’s Inland Revenue grills model Ayyan about income, paid taxes

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Inland Revenue (IR) team has also started investigations from model Ayyan Ali regarding her income and paid taxes.

On inquiring, arrested model told IR officials that team should contact the companies to know about paid taxes as the companies, for them she has been working, paid her amount after the deduction of taxes at source.

Ayyan also informed team that she has been earning millions against her performance in cover shoots, photo shoots and advertisements but she never filed income tax returns.

In the light of Ayyan’s statement, IR has decided to contact the companies those have paid amount against her job in different advertisements and shoots.

On the other hand, accused model has changed her legal counsel to pursue case in court after getting disappointment from last team of lawyers. The new counsel would submit application to get bail of his client in high court. It is important to mention that model Ayyan Ali was arrested on $500,000 currency smuggling charges.
