FBR chairman Dr. Irshad directs to publish digital director of withholding tax

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Dr. Muhammad Irshad has directed all withholding tax commissioners to increase the revenue collection measures through performance and keep close check on withholding agents.

On the suggestion of Member Inland Revenue Policy Rehmat Ullah Khan, Federal Board of Revenue with the help of Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt) Limited (PRAL) will prepare a Digital Directory of withholding tax.

The first Withholding Tax Commissioners conference were presided over by Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Dr. Muhammad Irshad at FBR conference hall. Member Inland revenue policy Rehamat Ullah Khan Wazir, Director General Withholding Tax Inland Revenue Mehbooba Razzaq, Chief (WHT-IR) Abdul Khaliq Sheikh and CEO PRAL attended the conference while 23 Commissioners Inland Revenue from all over the Pakistan including CIR Badaruddin LTU, Karachi, CIR, Asim Ahmad, LTU Lahore, CIR Amir Ali Talpur, LTU Islamabad, CIR Sahams uddin Qazi, LTU Karachi, CIR Shazia Memon, Corporate RTO Karachi, CIR Shaban Bhatti, Corpoarte RTO Lahore, CIR (WHZ) Muhammad Nadeem Arif, RTO-II Lahore, CIR (WHZ) Dr. Tauqeer Irtiza, RTO-II Karachi, CIR (WHZ) Farooq Azam Khan, RTO-III Karachi, CIR (WHZ) Mir Badshah Khan, RTO Peshawar, CIR (WHZ) Javed Iqbal, RTO Rawalpindi, CIR (WHZ) Sahibzada Abdul Mateen, RTO Quetta, CIR (WHZ) Syed Ghulam Abbas Kazmi, RTO Islamabad, CIR (WHZ) Khaliq Farooq Mian, RTO Gujranwala, CIR (WHZ) Zain Ul Abdin, RTO Sialkot, CIR (WHZ) Ahsan Raza, RTO Faisalabad, CIR (WHZ) Dr. Khalil Ahmad, RTO Multan, CIR (WHZ) Zubair Bilal, RTO Bahawalpur, CIR (WHZ) Atif Ali, RTO Hyderabad, CIR (WHZ) Khalid Mehmood, RTO Sargodha, CIR (WHZ) Muhammad Asghr, RTO Abbotabad and CIR (WHZ) Shahid Mehmood Sheikh RTO Sukkur participated in the conference.

The directory will consist on the data of withholding tax and the name of the withholding tax agents shall also included.
