54m out of 103m SIMs verified, Biometric verification facility provided at DUHS

KARACHI – Following the guidelines set by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for Biometric verification of SIMs, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) provided Biometric SIM verification facility at Dow Medical College Karachi.

The Ministry of Information Technology has also proposed to extend the deadline of the first phase by two weeks, however the final decision will be taken by Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan. So far 54 million out of 103 million SIMs have been verified across the country.
