MULTAN: Exactly 579,000 people have filed tax returns in the Multan region till Oct 31, tax officials said on Wednesday.
Officials from regional tax office said that number of filing of tax returns through online system, Iris, could not rise significantly due to a technical problem with the online system.
However, the number of tax filers would increase as the Iris system was now functional and date of filing tax returns has been extended till Nov 15.
