5pc to 7pc on urban, 5pc on intercity routs: Public transport fares trimmed by Re1

RAWALPINDI: Following reduction in the rates of POL products, stop-to-stop fare public transport has been reduced by Re1. According to the Regional Transport Authority, the public transport fares have been deceased by 5 to 7 percent on urban route and 5 percent on inter-city routes, fixing the minimum fare at Rs12 and maximum at Rs32. The Rawalpindi RTA has issued a notification, notifying the new fare list.

It is to be noted that the fares have so far been reduced only Rs3 from against Rs24 whopping reduction in the prices of petroleum products.
