ISLAMABAD: A two-day Islamabad Expo 2015 organised by Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce (IWCCI) has begin.
Punjab Minister for Population Welfare Begum Zakia Shahnawaz inaugurated the expo, while FPCCI President Mian Idrees, Ambassadors, representatives of UN, banks, cellular operators, government departments and large number of businesswomen also participated.
IWCCI founder president Samina Fazil said that around 75,000 people are expected to visit the two day event. The main purpose of this exhibition is to increase market linkages of women entrepreneurs for promotion of their products, networking, skill development and providing opportunities to those who cannot own or rent a shop.
Women entrepreneurs from Lahore, Karachi, Gilgit, Peshawar, DI Khan, Charsadda, Swat, Abbottabad, and Multan are exhibiting their handmade products in this fair.
