KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International containers terminals and liquid cargo terminal respectively.
Meanwhile six, more ships carrying containers, chemical, diesel oil and LPG Mix also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the port on Wednesday where a total eight ships namely Maersk Hartford, CGM Mollere, Ping An Song, Zante, Athinoula, Maria, SCF Plymouth and Chemroad Sea are currently occupying berths to load/offlaod containers, rice, general cargo, canola seed, LPG Mix, diesel oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 94,704 tonnes comprising 69,587 tonnes imports and 25,117 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,525 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
