ASO finalizes four anti-smuggling scouts

LAHORE: Anti Smuggling Organization of Model Customs Collectorate Lahore Preventive has finalized four scouts in order to crash smuggling activates in the Lahore region.

Following, transfers and postings of Inspectors across the Collectorate the scouts have to be rearranged. The four scouts will be headed by Superintendent of Customs Mumtaz Ajmal Mian and four Superintendents will conduct ASO operation. Every Deputy Superintendent is made in charge of a scout that consists of two Inspectors and six Sepoys.

Recently as many as ten Inspectors have been reshuffled in the ASO of which some have been sent to other departments while others have been given different assignments in the ASO.

Meanwhile sources said that in a meeting held at the Customs House, Superintendent of Customs Mumtaz Ajmal Mian has asked the scouts to come hard on the smugglers and undertake indiscriminate operation against all such element posing threat to the national economy.
