5 railway station to be upgraded in 1st phase: Kh Saad for facilitating passengers

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq, while presiding over a high-level meeting, has said all-out efforts are being made to make the railway journey safe, swift and comfortable.

The meeting was convened regarding the up-gradation of the platforms with the cooperation of the Nespak at Pakistan Railways Headquarters in the provincial capital. He said that to achieve goals necessary facilities are being provided at the platforms.

The minister advised the officials to make satisfactory arrangements for providing clean drinking water, benches and chairs, lavatories, wheelchairs and proper lights for the passengers at the platforms.

It was decided that in first phase, the up-gradation work will be started on five railway station including Sahiwal, Nankana Sahib, Narowal, Okara and Hassanabdal.
