ISLAMABAD: Custom Taxation and Anti -Smuggling Court Judge Chaudhary Mumtaz Hussain has ordered the punishment of two weeks with Rs 30,000 fine to the smugglers Abdul Jaleel and Muhammad Rehan. The imprisonment will be three months in case of failure to deposit the fine. The verdict has been given under Customs Act 1969 section 156 (1), 89, 85, 80 and 178. However, both voluntarily accepted their fault and requested forgiveness. The judge gave verdict that both are poor and they are not the owners of the smuggled items. They have accepted their fault and court decreases punishment to one week under section 382-BCr.P.c.
