KARACHI: Five ships carrying containers, vehicles, cement and cows are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Friday, said a KPT source.

Bunga Kantan Dua and Hansa Africa were berthed on Thursday. While Posen, Hyundai Bangkok and Kota Gembira sailed out. Posen, Hyundai Bangkok, Kota Gembira, Northern Prelude and Hansa Africa were due to depart.

A cargo volume of 64,445 tonnes comprising 26,494 tonnes of import and 37,951 tonnes of export was handled.

Following ships are due to arrive on Friday: APL Sokhna and South containers, Liberty Pride with vehicle, Oranus with cement while Devon Express with cows.

Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA release.

Meanwhile four ships carrying sunflower seeds, diesel oil and containers also arrived at the outer anchorage. Nedlloyd Europa, CGM Chopin, Christos Theo and Genuine were busy in loading and offloading containers, rice and edible oil.

A cargo volume of 66,310 tonnes comprising 41,290 tonnes of import and 25,020 tonnes of export was handled.
