Sialkot: Customs foils bid to smuggle heroin to England

SIALKOT:  The Customs Intelligence officials foiled a bid to smuggle heroin from Sialkot to England and seized several small packets of heroin secretly concealed in women’s clothes.

The parcel was seized during special checking at the foreign customs office at the Sialkot General Post Office (GPO).

According to details, accused Muhammad Akram Sharif, a resident of Khadim Ali Road Sialkot, booked a parcel for England from Sialkot.

Customs officials including Superintendent Syed Khalid Javaid Shah, Deputy Superintendent Akmal Hussain Shah and Inspector Syed Arshad Kamal checked the parcel and found several heroin packets hidden in the garments.

Customs officials have registered a case against Muhammad Akram and started raiding various places to ensure the early arrest of the accused.
