Directorate of Audit conducts audit of 16 TMO offices in Gujranwala Division

SIALKOT: The Directorate of Audit has audited Rs 9.12 billion funds and revenue during the audit of as many as 16 out of 21 TMO offices in the Gujranwala Division’s all the six districts: Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Sialkot and Gujranwala.

The special audit teams conducted the audit of salaries of employees, projects of repairing and reconstruction of development schemes, revenue details, streets and sewerage channel construction and other expenditures.

The audit report has been sent to the Punjab Audit director general.

According to senior officials, several complaints regarding embezzlement of development funds were received during the special audit of 16 TMO offices in the division, and their reports were also sent to the Punjab Public Accounts Committee for further legal action.

The special audit of the rest of the five TMO offices will be completed soon, after which a special audit of the education sector development schemes and funds will start in the Gujranwala Division during the next couple of days, an official added.
