Punjab Excise and Taxation Dept registers 325 property dealers in Multan

MULTAN: Excise and Taxation has registered 325 property dealers in Multan city during ongoing registration campaign in last few days.

Almost 2000 property dealers in Multan City are operating their property businesses but only a few were registered with Excise. Now Excise and Taxation Department is working along with the city government to register the property dealers in Multan.

The city government has conducted seminars for owners of property businesses telling them that they must register themselves with the Excise and Taxation Department.

Director Excise and Taxation Multan told Customs today that the purpose of registration of these property dealers is to bring them into tax net; they have to pay Rs 10,000 professional registration fee and Rs 10,000 annual fee. He said a big number of property dealers are still unregistered with Excise and we have conveyed a clear message that offices of all unregistered property dealers will be sealed. Different teams are made to start crackdown on unregistered property dealers, he added.
