Motorola’s 4G LTE, 3G Moto E smartphones hit shelves in US for $120-150

NEW YORK: Motorola’s second-gen budget smartphone Moto E which was officially launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) is now available in the US for $120 (£78) online via the official Motorola web portal.

The USP of the latest Moto E, apart from its relatively low price tag, is the fact that the device runs the latest Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating platform straight out of the box.

The latest Motorola Moto E available in the US, is the 3G-only variant and is carrier-unlocked.

However, the 4G LTE model of the Moto E (2015) is also on sale in the US via the same Motorola portal, but has a slightly higher price tag of $150 (£98).

Customers can only choose between the black and white outer colour schemes, while ordering their latest Moto E units. They can also anticipate an 11 March delivery, claims Motorola.

Buyers can also opt to go in for customisations for Moto E, in the form of Grip shells (costing $19.99, £13), Bands (costing $19.99, £13), Replacement Bands ($14.99, £10) and Motorola Earbuds (costing $19.99, £13).
