ANF foils bid to smuggle heroine

RAWALPINDI: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a bid to smuggle drugs worth millions and arrested the smugglers here on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, ANF team stopped a Toyota corolla car bearing registration no.BT-755-IT and Honda civic car no LXF-5801 near New Katarian Bridge in city area and recovered 12.5 kilogram Heroin from the hidden parts of both vehicles. Hazrat Ali and Yousaf Khan were arrested on the spot.

Meanwhile, in another operation, the ANF team arrested Muhammad Khan  a resident of District Khushab from Benazir Bhutto International Airport who was  proceeding to Sharjah  by PIA Flight No. Pk-212 on tracing heroin-capsules in his abdomen, official sources in ANF told APP.

Cases have been registered against them under narcotics control act and investigation is underway.
