SINGAPORE: Two of China’s top railway companies are reportedly keen to bid for the construction of the high-speed railway linking Kuala Lumpur to Singapore.
The two companies reportedly preparing to bid for the construction of the railway project are China Railway Construction Corporation and China Southern Railway.
The KL-Singapore High Speed Railway is expected to go to tender in June.
The rail link will shorten the current travel time between KL and Singapore from 5 hours to just 90 minutes.
The sources said Japan Railways, French firm Alstom and Siemens are said to be among some of the other bidders.
