Excise seizes document of 1100 vehicles in one week

LAHORE: The Motor Branch of the Excise and Taxation Lahore has seized documents of more than 1,100 vehicles in one week.

Motor Branch Director Suhail Arshad said that department is active against defaulter vehicles. During one week in general hold up, special teams of excise seized documents of 1,100 unregistered and tax defaulter vehicles, he added. Millions of rupees would be recovered from the defaulters, he said.

He said that department was planning to start a crackdown on the non-transferred vehicles or being used with open letter.

Excise seized documents during checking of vehicles on Defense More, Ghazi Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Multan Road, Raiwand Road, Ravi Road, Faisal Town, Ghazi Chowk and Shahdara toll plaza.
