ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue’s Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation Director General Haroon Muhammad Khan has directed all customs collectorates to send the record of smugglers who were caught at airports by customs authorities.
As per the detail, the directorate wants to bring such persons in the tax net and keep a check on the smuggled items that were usually seized by the customs.
After getting the record of such persons, the IR Intelligence would start investigating their income tax, sales tax and filed returns, besides interrogating them about their clients in the country.
