FIA arrests two on money laundering charges

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has raided Hall Road area of  Lahore and arrested two person involved in money laundering.

According to FIA spokesman, a raid was conducted at Abdullah Centre Hall Road Lahore by FIA team and two accused Muhammad Hussain and Jawas Ahamd has been booked involved in illegal business of hundi system. Both persons were allegedly engaged in transaction of money from Afghanistan to Pakistan, he added.

FIA recovered Rs. 0.5 million from the accused. Receipts, register, cheque books, mobile phones etc were also recovered.

Both of accused has been sent behind the bars after registration of FIR
under money laundering act of Pakistan. Further investigation is underway for further action and prosecution.
