Rs60m fraud in terror victims’ funds: NAB arrests FDMA official, two bankers

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau’s  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter has apprehended an official of FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) and two bankers for embezzlement of funds worth Rs60 million.

The accused have allegedly embezzled funds allocated for those affected by terrorism in Mohmand and Bajaur agencies, amounting to Rs60 million. The arrested persons include FDMA Assistant Director Irfanullah; Amjad Ali, a grade-III officer at United Bank Limited Regi Lalma Branch and Sardar Khan, branch manager at Habib Bank Limited Inayat Kalay Branch of Bajaur Agency.
