ISTANBUL: Turkey’s Finance Minister, Mehmet Simsek , has confirmed the introduction of special tax exemptions for innovative companies.
The regulations would provide businesses with an exemption from VAT on the sale or lease of intellectual property or innovative products.
Companies may also benefit from a 50 percent reduction in corporate income tax in respect of profits from such activities.
Simsek said the tax breaks are aimed at innovators and software developers.
