Enforcement-South collects Rs 2.352 billion as customs duty in March

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Preventive, Hyderabad, Exports, Quetta, Gwadar of Enforcement-South Region and Exports (Port Muhammad Bin Qasim) have collectively generated Rs 2.352 billion in terms of Custom Duty during March-2015 against its set target of Rs 2290.43 billion with an increase of Rs 61.99 million.

According to details, the MCC-Preventive has collected Rs 1.752 billion in wake of Customs Duty against its set target of Rs 1.7 billion with an increase of Rs 51.93 million during said period.

The MCC-Hyderabad collected an amount of Rs 144.93 million in terms of Customs Duty in the month of March-2015 against its set target of Rs 410.57 million with a massive shortfall of Rs 265.64 million.

The MCC-Export has collected an amount of Rs 419.02 million in share of Customs Duty against the set target of Rs 416.71 million with an increase of Rs 2.31 millionj during March, 23015.

The Exports (Port Muhammad Bin Qasim) has collected an amount of Rs 51.01 million in the month of March-2015 in share of Customs Duty against its set target of Rs354.85million with a massive shortfall of Rs303.84million.

Furthermore, the MCC-Quetta collected Rs 143.81 million in share of Customs Duty in the month of March-2015 against its set target of Rs 59.32 million with an increase of Rs 84.49 million.

Meanwhile, the MCC-Gwadar has collected an amount of Rs 195.84 million in wake of Customs Duty against its set target of Rs 57.95 million with a massive increase of Rs 137.89 million.

Sources informed Customs Today that revenue collection in terms of Customs Duty for the month of March-2015 has been sent to the FBR Headquarters for further study.

They further informed that the Chief Collector-Enforcement (South) Muhammad Nazim Saleem has expressed his satisfaction over the revenue collection in terms of Customs Duty by all concerned Collectorates in the month of March-2015 and asked the authorities concerned of MCC-Hyderabad, MCC-Exports and MCC-Exports (Port Muhammad Bin Qasim) to speed up the revenue collection in terms of Customs Duty and ensure achieving the revenue target set by the FBR in terms of Customs Duty.

It is pertinent to mention here that the MCC-Preventive, MCC-Gwadar and MCC-Quetta have successfully achieved and surpassed the set target in terms of Customs Duty for the month of March-2015.
