KSE seems on track, adds 338pts or 1.23% to start ‘a positive week’

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 338.21 points or 1.08percent to reach 31752.17 points and volume of 183,047,850 shares on Monday.

The benchmark KSE 100-index gained 159.87 points or 0.51 per cent to reach 31573.83points with the total volume of 90,781,470 shares, having 5,519,610,294 value. The benchmark 100-index witnessed highest trading level of 31627.51 points and lowest level of 31341.48 points.

The three top traded companies were Pak Elektron with a volume of 17,603,500 and price per share of 53.31 (2.53), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 9,871,500 of price per share of 16.25 (0.34) and Maple Leaf Cement XD with a volume 9,601,000 of price per share of 57.32 (1.72).

Earlier, Karachi Stock Exchange shot up by 281 points or 0.90 per cent to 31413.96 points.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) decision to join Parliament after eight months of boycott has been appreciated to keep the country’s stocks in bullish note.

The High and Low were 31788.30 and 31341.48 respectively with the total volume traded in the market of 183,047,850.
