MCC Multan has collected the revenue of Rs.5668.520 million in the month of March

MULTAN: The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected the revenue of Rs 5,668.520 million during the month of March in the fiscal year 2014-15.

The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has fetched Customs duty of Rs 438.137 million from various goods imported in the month of March. The collected revenue of Customs duty includes the import duty of Rs 429.030 million, regulatory duty of Rs 6.195 million and miscellaneous duty of Rs 2.912 million during the month of March in the current economic year 2014-15.

During the third quarter of the current FY the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has generated Customs duty Rs 1,693.700 million against the assigned target of Rs 2,953.700 million. The collection of the Customs duty has been increased 26% as compared to previous fiscal year.

Customs collected Rs 2,171.940 million sales taxes in March during current FY. The total collected sale tax in the first three months of the third quarter was Rs 6,385.381 million against the assigned target of Rs 5,057.740 million.

On whole Rs 1,7630.923 million sales taxes have been recovered during current FY 2014-15. Overall sales tax collection decreased by 20% during fiscal year 2014-15 due to decrease in the import of High Speed Diesel oil and its reduced prices have also affected badly the collection of sales taxes.

The Federal Excise duty collection in the course of March was Rs 17.845 million and the total collection in the first eight months of this monetary year was Rs 157.473 million.

Income tax generated by the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan in the month of March was Rs 19.313 million. While the total collection of income tax so far during this fiscal year was almost Rs 323.606 million.

Petroleum levy of Rs 1,012.758 million collected in the month of March during while the total petroleum levy generated in first eight months of the present monetary year stood at Rs 9, 890.376 million.

The collection of the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan improved a bit due to some serious initiatives from the Collector Dr Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich. The total assigned target for the current FY was Rs 42 billion while the total collection of Model of Customs Collectorate Multan in the first eight months of the fiscal year 2014-15 turns out to be Rs 87,109.920 million so far.
