APCAA meets Collector Surriya for early clearance of consignments

All Pakistan Customs Agents Association to meet Collector Saleem on Monday

KARACHI: A delegation of the All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) held a meeting with the Port Qasim Collector Surriya Butt with the agenda of removing impediments in the clearance and examination process of consignments.

Port Qasim Collector Surriya Butt heard the grievances of the clearing agents and assured them of full support for the removal of obstacles during the clearing process.

Afghan route closure weighs on Pakistan-Central Asia trade, exports fall 9%, imports plunge 88%

The delegation was led by APCAA Chairman Shams Burni and Senior Vice-Chairman Arshad Jamal.

From Pakistan Customs side, Additional Collector Saeed Akram and Terminal Operator Saad Nasim assisted the collector.

As per the details, the APCAA members and the customs officials were on one page regarding the smooth running of clearance and examination process and removing the obstacles form either side.

Collector Surriya Butt commended the recommendations presented by the customs agents and assured them of meeting again after a month to review the progress on the minutes of the meeting.

The APCAA members are also scheduled to meet Appraisement-West Collector Muhammad Saleem on Monday with the same agenda.

It may be mentioned here that the delegates recently met Appraisement-East Collector Manzoor Memon in this respect. Another meeting to review the progress with the East Collectorate will also be held soon.
