“Most gyms are private, and compared with the rest of Europe, the Polish market fragmentation is considerable. Eight of the largest domestic operators have a 4.8 percent market share. Employee [fitness] programs are very popular in Poland, contrary to other countries,”  said partner at Deloitte Marcin Diakonowicz.

Gym owners are optimistic about the future. More than 80 percent of them think that the market will record further growth in 2015.
