Appraisment-East registers FIR against Topsun Chemical Enterprises for violating Sec 16,32,32A & 79

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement-East has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the Owner/Director/Partner of M/s Topsun Chemical Enterprises bearing (NTN 3971455-1), 93-A, Khayaban-e-Sarwar, Dera Ghazi Khan on 17-04-2015 for tampering the registration certificates of the following GDs;

KAPE-HC-26237 dated 06-09-2014 and KAPE-HC-23932 dated 01-092014 in Book No 89, Serial No 8832, Registration No 520 and date 25-06-2013 in which the actual description valid for import was ‘Mancozeb’ while the tampered description was ‘Thiophanate Methyl WP 70 percent.

KAPE-HC-113158 dated 12-06-2014, KAPE-HC-100101 dated 08-05-2014 and KAPE-HC 100085 dated 08-05-2014 in Book No  89 Serial No  8803, Registration No 5187 dated 14-06-2013 in which actual description valid for import  was ‘Acetochlor’ whereas the tampered description was ‘Butachlor 60 percent EC.

The complainant of the case is Jabbar Muhammad, Examining Officer, PICT, Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement (East), Customs House, Karachi.

The FIR was lodged  for violating  Section 16, 32, 32A &79 of the Customs Act, 1969 and Section 3(1) of the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1950 punishable under clause 9, 14, 14A & 46 of Section 156 (1) of the Customs Act, 1969 and allied laws.
