Multan: FBR directs RTO to recover taxes from defaulters through market committees

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed the Regional Tax Office to recover taxes through the market committees.

As per details the Regional Tax Office Multan has been directed by the FBR to make ensure the payment of taxes from all the defaulters through market committees.

RTO has ordered all the market committees to pay and ensure their payment of taxes according to Income Tax Ordinance 2001 under Section 236 J for the payment of their due taxes and market committees will ask the traders, dealers, commission agents performing their businesses in the market.

The Federal Board of Revenue has asked the RTO Multan to improve the recovery of tax collection in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2014-15.

FBR has also suspended the holiday of Saturday for the better collection of taxes for the economic year 2014-15 until June.
