China, Kazakhstan ready to enhance Customs, trade cooperation

BEIJING: Minister Yu Guangzhou and Vice Minister Sun Yibiao met with Mr.Yergozhin Daulet, Chairman, and Mr. G. Amrin, Vice Chairman of the Commission of National Revenue of Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Beijing.

The two sides spoke highly of China-Kazakhstan cooperation of Customs and ports, and had an in-depth exchange of views on supporting the development of the Silk Road Economic Belt, expanding the Pilot Project of fast clearance “Green Channel” for agricultural products, promoting the cooperation on mutual recognition of AEO, intensifying law enforcement cooperation on combating smuggling and supporting Kazakhstan’s hosting of China Tourism Year.

3,000 Iran-bound containers stranded at Karachi port as Hormuz tensions disrupt shipping

The two sides reached agreement on five issues. Firstly, to make joint efforts to promote the development of bilateral trade with pragmatic measures. Secondly, to speed up the implementation of mutual recognition of AEO. Thirdly, to reach concensus, as early as possible, on the pilot ports of the expansion of fast clearance “Green Channel” for agricultural products. Fourthly, to jointly support the development of the Silk Road Economic Belt. Fifthly, to launch the joint operation in combating smuggling and to work together to establish a communication and coordination mechanism.
