FIA holds a travel agent looting people in guise of ‘Umrah’ packages

FAISALABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested an accused involved in extorting money from more than 250 persons.

A spokesman of the FIA told here on Tuesday that the agency received a number of complaints that CEO of Masood Travel Agency, Muhammad Iqbal, his son Adeel Iqbal, proprietor of travel agency, Manager Kashif and Cashier Hammad Raza had received Rs 85,000 per head from more than 250 persons in guise of sending them to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah but the accused neither send them to Saudi Arabia nor returned their money.

Taking action on the complaints, FIA Sub Inspector along with his team raided the Masood Travel Agency and arrested its proprietor Adeel Iqbal after registering a case against him.  Raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining accused, he added.
