Special Judge Chaudhry Mumtaz hearing Ayyan’s case transferred

ISLAMABAD: Special Court of Customs, Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Judge Chaudhry Mumtaz Hussain, who was hearing the case of Model Ayyan Ali, has been transferred.

As per detail, the model is to be presented before the Customs Court on April 24 for the hearing of the case. On the other hand, the judge had directed the customs to present the case before court while customs has not completed the challan in the case.

The important point is here that Special Jude Mumtaz Hussain had rejected the bail plea of the Model Ayyan and subsequently the high court had also rejected her appeal.

Sources informed that customs has interrogated many people in the case, while customs did not want to submit incomplete challan to court.

It is important to mention here that Ayyan was involved allegedly in smuggling of US $0.5 million.

After the rejection of bail plea from Customs Court and High Court, counsel for Ayyan is feeling hesitation before move the Supreme Court because if they failed to get bail, Ayyan would have to face imprisonment until the decision of the case.
