Customs Preventive officials told to file assets’ declaration by end of April

Performance allowance to be discontinued of non-compliers

LAHORE: Model Customs Collectorate Preventives Lahore has instructed all departmental heads of the collectorate to ask the staff from BS1-16 to submit declaration of their assets by the end of April 2015 to avoid penalties.

The MCC Lahore Preventive through a letter to Additional Collector  AFU, Wagah, Assistant Collectors, Deputy Collectors of Airport, PFC, Railways,  Chief Accountant officer, Statistical officer, Superintendent of Anti-Smuggling Organisation, Superintendent of Customs Security and branch incharges of MCC Preventive Lahore directed the officials.

The Collector of Customs-Preventive, Mukkaram Jah taking serious view was quoted as saying that the officials of BS 1-16 were asked to submit their assets declaration by March 25, 2015, however, none of the official complied with the instructions and no submission of declaration of assets was made.

The officials of BS 1-16 have now strictly been ordered to submit their assets declaration and non-compliance would be considered as “Misconduct” under government Servants Rules.

The officials have also been instructed that in case the any official fails to submit declaration of assets upto June 2014, his/ her performance allowance will also be discontinued.
