Lahore: Excise seals 90 shops and properties in Liberty

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has sealed shops and other properties in different areas of Lahore on Saturday.

According to Customs Today sources Excise and Taxation Lahore Region-A — in a drive against tax defaulters — sealed 90 properties only in Liberty area of Lahore. Sources added that department has issued recovery notices to the defaulters to ensure the payment of taxes many times but they did not clear their arrears.

Taking legal action against the defaulters, teams of Excise and Taxation sealed properties in Gullberg, Ferozpur Road, Faisal Town, Johar town, Model Town, Valancia Town, Wapda Town, Canal Road, Nawab Town, Azmir Town, Sultan Town, Ali Park, Lala Zar Colony, Judicial Colony and Raiwand Road.

On the other hand, some tax defaulters paid their taxes on the spot to deseal their properties.
