Custom Inelligence impounds vehicles, trucks of scrap

LAHORE: The Customs Investigation and Intelligence (I&I) on Saturday seized smuggled tyres, cloth besides impounding two trucks loaded with scrap and two vehicles.

Official sources said that Customs I&I on the instruction of Director Imtiaz Ahmad Khan intercepted a bus loaded with illegal tyres and foreign origin cloth.

Customs officials told Customs Today that the bus was coming from Peshawar.

Meanwhile, the anti-smuggling team of I&I also impounded trucks loaded with smuggled scrap at the Multan Road. Source further said that the trucks were coming from Quetta destined to Misri Shah Lahore.

Sources informed that Customs I&I Lahore also impounded two non-duty paid vehicles including Toyota Premio and Hyundai near Cavalry ground.

The raiding teams of I&I consisting of Additional Director Mohsin Rafique, Superintendent Nasir Minhas, Munawar Khan and Muhammad Hussain conducted the operations.
