Two smugglers granted bail in vehicle smuggling case

MULTAN: A Customs Court has issued bail order for the release of two suspects, who were allegedly involved in smuggling of vehicles and in an encounter with the Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO).

The Anti-Smuggling Organisation has arrested four major culprits of a network involved in smuggling of vehicles to Punjab through Punjab-Balohistan Border by adopting the route of Koh-e-Suleman on March 1, in a sensitive operation.

Abdul Majeed , Allah Ditta, Ismatullah and Muhammad Arif were arrested along with vehicles during the close deadly encounter with Anti-smuggling Operation tam. FIR  No 01/2015 was lodged against them on charge of  smuggling and interference into state affairs.

During investigation two smugglers including Abdul Majeed and Allah Ditta were found involved in the smuggling of vehicles through some hidden routes in the surrounding areas of Koh-e -Suleman to Punjab.

Smugglers were operating very smartly in region as their pilot Abdul Majeed was detecting the routes first by driving and crossing through the route to signal his companion for guarding smuggled vehicle.

The two accused Ismatullah and Muhammad Arif have been granted but the bail plea of the main accused Abdul Majeed and Allah Ditta has been rejected due to their involvement in smuggling of vehicles.

The further proceeding of the case has been adjourned for further proceeding.
