Pak-Saudi joint ministerial session held

ISLAMABAD: The Joint Pak-Saudi Ministerial Commission meeting discussed several issues concerning bilateral trade and business relation and called for improving bilateral trade and commerce relation.

The 10th session of a 2-day meeting concluded in Riyadh being attended by a high-level Pakistani delegation led by Federal Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir. The Saudi delegation was led by Commerce Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabeah.

Pakistani delegation being led by Khurram Dastgir consisted of twelve prominent businessmen from Pakistan in a bid to attract Saudi investment into Pakistan.

Proposals which came under discussion during the meeting included cooperation between the two countries in the field of banking and finance, manpower export, industry, information technology, science, education, sports, investment in energy sector, small and medium enterprises.

Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir was accompanied by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia who disclosed that the 10th session of the Joint Ministerial Commission was scheduled during the recent visit of Saudi crown prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz.
