Customs court issues notices to guarantor in smuggling case

LAHORE: Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling summoned a guarantor in bail of accused in smuggling on not attending the hearing since long by accused.

As per detail, a case was registered by Sialkot Customs against Muhammad Adress while Muhammad Nazim, guarantor, submitted guarantee of Rs 100,000 to free the accused on bail.

The accused, Adrees was not appearing before court since long on which court issued notice to guarantor to attend the next hearing and on not following the orders, guarantee will be frozen.

On other hand Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling on Saturday heard 17 different cases of smuggling and tax evasion.

In other different cases, court heard the arguments of the lawyers and adjourned the cases for next hearing. Total 17 cases were scheduled on May 2.
