Faisalabad Collector Tauseef appreciates ASO performance

Faisalabad ASO seizes items worth Rs51 million in April

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Faisalabad’s Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) impounded vehicles worth Rs33.91 million besides seizing the other smuggled items worth Rs17.13 million.

Following the direction of MCC Faisalabad Collector Tauseef Ahmad Qureshi, ASO authorities showed exceptional performance. Talking to Customs Today Collector Tauseef Ahmad Qureshi said that the staff of the anti-smuggling did good job as it foiled many smuggling bids in the region. He added that collectorate was working by adopting effective strategies against the smuggling.

As per detail, customs impounded ten vehicles of various brands including Toyota Land Cruiser V8, Honda City, Toyota Passo, Toyta Fielder, Hino truck and Mitsubishi Pajero and others worth Rs33.91 million, while during last month, March customs could impound vehicles worth Rs9.5 million.

ASO also confiscated smuggled 22,000 kilogram polyethylene granules, 5750 kg white zeera, 6800 kg red chili, ceramics tiles, 1224 kg black tea, 6900 yards cloth and cotton cloth 3000 yards.
