ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to keep its tax offices open on Saturday, October 31, to ensure the collection of taxes and duties.
According to instructions issued by the FBR, all Large Taxpayer Offices, Corporate Tax Offices and Regional Tax Offices will operate during normal working hours. Chief Commissioners Inland Revenue have been directed to keep the relevant offices open and continue routine official business.
FBR officials said taxpayers will be guided on technical problems and other issues they face while filing returns, so they can submit returns and pay taxes without difficulty.
The Chief Commissioners have also been told to monitor the performance, office timings and other administrative matters. The FBR said the measure is aimed at making tax collection more effective and providing timely facilitation to taxpayers.
