LAHORE: Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has sealed the businesses of seven catering service providers on not depositing the sales tax on services.
According to sources of Customs Today PRA was taking measures to recover the evaded taxes on services. On Wednesday in a special crackdown by PRA, seven catering companies were sealed until paying the outstanding taxes.
Caterers brought to the law by Punjab Revenue Authority include Chiniot Kitchen, Rajput Caterers, Naeem Cooking and Event by Arslan. All of the mentioned caterers and cooking services providers were involved in sales tax evasion of millions of rupees.
Team of PRA under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Kashif Malik took this action on special directions of Chairman PRA, Doctor Rahila Ahmad Sadiqui.
