Muhammad Aslam was arrested by customs authorities at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore when he was trying to smuggle 10 kilograms of gold worth Rs40 million, which he had tied to his body.

Customs officials intercepted the accused on suspicion and recovered a huge quantity of gold from his possession.

The court approved the remand of the accused and sent him to jail for fourteen days. Customs Investigation argued there to get another physical remand for two days but court refused for further remand. Customs investigation team told the court that accused during interrogation has disclosed many names of his smuggler gang so it is necessary to conduct further interrogation.
